Posted on Rhoda26 August 2025Verified We had a lovely break in Gargrave - the house was great for us. Gargrave is a fantastic location to have as a base for a holiday. lovely pub in the village, lots of walks straight from the door without taking the car, and a short walk to the station where you can hop on a train for the beautiful Settle-Carlisle line.Posted on Debbie21 July 2025Verified Bailey cottage was just what we needed to relax and unwind for a weekend. Beautiful cottage and surrounding areas and easy to get parked right by the front door. The cottage was homely and had everything. Including a fresh loaf of bread which was delicious. Lovely hot shower and comfy bed. Sadly we had to leave a day early for health reasons but wouldn’t hesitate to come back!Posted on David29 June 2025Verified Beautiful cottage. Brilliant location in the village - quiet but close to pubs, Co-op etc. Everything spotless. Furnishings lovely. Couldn't fault our stay.Posted on Sally26 May 2025Verified A lovely cottage - second time we stayed. Posted on Lisa19 April 2025Verified We had a fabulous few days in Bailey cottage, it’s been beautifully decorated and is in a fantastic location for some lovely days out.Posted on Steven23 February 2025Verified Lovely cottage beautifully decorated with everything you could want. Comfortable and warm. Very relaxingPosted on Helen19 February 2025Verified We had a very happy stay at Bailey Cottage. It was beautifully decorated, well equipped and very comfortable. The beds were particularly comfy and we all slept well. There is a Co-op that is 5 minutes walk away and well stocked. We enjoyed an Indian take away from the Bollywood Cottage too. Our daughter, who is studying at Lancaster University, was able to visit by train and we had some lovely day trips to York, Bolton Abbey, Skipton Castle and Lancaster. We had a brilliant few days and would thoroughly recommend Bailey Cottage. Thank you very much Lydia.Posted on Jessica5 January 2025Verified Highly recommend this beautiful cottage. Posted on Craig19 July 2025Verified Great cottage would definitely recommend ☺ Everything ☹ NothingPosted on Emma25 March 2025Verified Lovely few days. ☺ Beautifully decorated spacious cottage, close to all local amenities. Fully equipped with all utensils you'd need to cook and clean as well as teabags/coffee etc. Comfortable beds, heating set on a timer which kept it nice and warm. Spotlessly clean throughout. The gas fire log burner is a lovely addition too. Gargrave itself is quiet but you're only a short drive from Grassington or Skipton. ☹ A couple of small niggles really - the shelf in the fridge door is missing. As other people's reviews have said, a small draining board would be handy. The TV had no signal for Freeview so we had to rely on iPlayer/Netflix (I did speak with the host).Posted on Anónimo14 March 2025Verified Muy bien ☺ Very good location and comfortable stay ☹ Nothing reallyPosted on Luke23 January 2025Verified Superb winter retreat ☺ A lovely winter retreat. A cosy cottage in a lovely quiet area of Gargrave located beside a river. The location is superb, within 20 mins of Malham and Skipton, and two excellent pubs within 2 min walk. The cottage was lovely and warm when outside was around 1-2°, and heated up superbly along with the downstairs fire. The property has a great interior and is very well furnished. Easy to get to and get parked outside the property. Would definitely stay again.Posted on Judy21 November 2024Verified Wonderful cottage - very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Great location. And so clean!Posted on Richard3 November 2024Verified We had a lovely, comfortable stay. The cottage has been so nicely done with excellent equipment. ☺ Beautifully renovated and extremely comfortable. ☹ Maybe a door to the attic room.Posted on Larry24 September 2024Verified Comfortable stay in a Homely Cottage ☺ Ambience, homeliness.Posted on Roger16 September 2024Verified A very enjoyable experience all round. ☺ The well located and delightful property was spotlessly clean, very comfortable, had all mod cons and great charachter. ☹ As some previous reviewers have said the lack of a stair rail was a problem for the less nimble. A draining board in the kitchen would have been handy when you just wanted, for example, to swill out some mugs for later use rather than using the dishwasher. Slightly disappointed there was no garden at all.Posted on Jim31 August 2024Verified Lovely Cottage in a great location - will stay again ☺ Excellent location and easy parking near the property. Good wifi, TV and very clean. ☹ Lack of clothes hangers in a couple of the bedrooms.Posted on John13 August 2024Verified Lovely cottage in a great location ☺ Superbly renovated and fitted out cottage. All rooms were very comfortable, the shower was very good with quality toiletries. Kitchen had everything one needed including tea and Nespresso coffee. A small amount of milk would have been nice on arrival though. Great free wifi and smart TV. Good communications with host, Lydia. Village was quiet and had a good Co-op. Bollywood Cottage, Mason Arms and The Frying Yorkshireman were all great for food. We were able to park our three motorcycles outside the cottage on the road and they were very safe. Great base for biking in the Dales!Load more
